Big Poppy,

You had a remarkable gift for creating traditions that became the foundation of our family. Because of you, generations of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren know the joy of chasing waves, gathering around the table, and making memories in a place you loved so deeply. Those moments are your legacy.

I am endlessly grateful for your foresight, your kindness, and the countless sacrifices you made so our family could experience this little piece of heaven together.

Every time I return, I'm reminded that the greatest gift you gave us wasn't just a place—it was the opportunity to build a lifetime of memories with the people we love, and that included you and Gizu.

I love and miss you, Big Poppy, but I'll carry you with me in every glass of Pouilly-Fuissé, every stout Planters Punch, every Chuck Norris film, every trip to Maine, every lobster dinner, every steak au poivre (especially the one at Capital Grille with Ms. Susan), every musical, and every time I see an American flag waving proudly in the breeze.

I met Norm only a few years ago. Every time I had an interaction with him whether it be over dinner, a glass of wine (or both), watching TV, sitting with the dog, or just looking out at the ocean, Norm was always smiling, and full of kindness and generosity. There is something I learned from him that was never told to me by words, rather by his presence. Be kind, be grateful, be loving, be a good steward, and accept what God gives you. I am very fortunate to have spent time with Norm, and his big loving family. Thank you, Norm!

We first met Norm through the wonderful friendship that developed between our boys when they were just seven years old. What began as a childhood friendship grew into years of cherished memories and a lasting bond between our families. Norm was one of the kindest and most generous people we have ever known. He welcomed us into his life with warmth and thoughtfulness, whether it was including us in dinners out or generously lending us his motorboat for a season to enjoy at our summer cottages in Webster. His smile was unforgettable—warm, genuine, and always accompanied by eyes that sparkled with kindness. Norm had a remarkable gift with children. Though our boys could certainly be a handful, he was endlessly patient, allowing them to be themselves while quietly teaching important life lessons with grace and understanding. He always encouraged them to follow their dreams and believe in themselves. Some of our happiest memories are of the many times Norm graciously hosted us, along with other friends, in Old Orchard Beach. Those gatherings were filled with laughter, wonderful meals, good conversation, and, often, a glass of wine or two shared among friends. Norm’s generosity, gentle spirit, and joyful presence touched so many lives. We will forever treasure the memories we made with him and remain grateful for the friendship, kindness, and love he shared so freely. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered always

Norm was such a wonderful mentor and forever friend to me & my family. He was introduced to me as a must have knowledge & trusted expert for anything actuarial & corporate Benefits strategic planning. Our Company CEO trusted Norm above all other consultants. Once when Norm chose to sever ties with a particular company, they reached out to attempt to present our company another contact from their firm. I immediately advised them that our preferred relationship was with Norm and not their organization- so goodbye. Besides my use of his Maine compound for staff retreats , his holiday gift of the IRS code, and his traveling to my small Texas hometown to attend my Mom’s funeral service( I found him helping our older friends serve food at the family repast), demonstrated his extraordinary kindness and sincere spirit. We always had Sunday night after 60 minutes phone calls just to chat and share news. He invited a person to a gathering to teach us gun safety( he was an all around teacher)- can u believe😇 Finally his love of his brothers&Sisters as well and his children& grandchildren and entire family and friendswas his joy! I have so many Norm memories that I will always hold dear. I will forever cherish his memory- May he rest in peace🙏💐 Denise you deserve joy for the memories you gave us Norm and his undivided time- thanks so very much💕
